About Lori

Hi. I'm Lori. I'm the sole proprietor of Personal Chef, LLC.

Welcome to the fifth year of my business. I have done many public appearances since 2002 and will continue to do so this year. Check my events page for the most recent info.

Thanks to everyone willing to try a personal chef service in the Capital District, my business is really taking off. It's all because of the people who are willing to try a new way to eat healthier at a reasonable cost and allow themselves the luxury of having custom meals prepared for them in their homes. I love creating a magical experience for all my clients, so let me know if you're willing to be treated like a king or queen!

People often ask me where I received my culinary training. I do give a serious answer (see next paragraph), but I have to say I am always amused. I worked for over 15 years as a technical writer/web programmer and probably not even a handful of people ever asked me where I received my schooling. Oh, I understand. Food is a lot more personal than a software manual you're never going to read! ;)

Anyway, I have taken courses at Schenectady County Community College culinary school. I am a member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) and have earned a United States Personal Chef Institute (USPCI) Personal Chef Certificate.

I am also on the paid staff of the Honest Weight Food Co-op in Albany. I cook there 16 hours every other weekend in the deli, and fill in when people are out, so stop by and say hello.

(For some reason, getting paid makes it too tedious.) I do a bunch of other stuff too. If I'm not in motion, I'm probably asleep.
